The TalkaThief

In the town of Amaga, there lived a young orphan called Oleman. He was a poor little lad with no one to fend for him. His parents had died when he was at a tender age, so he was left to grow alone in a world of cruelty.
Oleman lived on the streets and made begging a daily routine. In the course of time, he discovered the charismatic power he had in conversing with people.
He could keep a man, woman, or child spellbound in a very interesting story or gist that most times they get carried away and not know what they were doing, what they were told to do, and what they wanted to do. This gave him an opportunity to steal money from their pockets or any other valuables without their knowledge.
He made this his daily occupation and made ends meet this way, till luck ran out on him one fateful day. There was this man called Ratazz, a local merchant who was famously known to mischievously hide a special rat trap in the enormous pocket of his flowing gown to catch pickpockets.
The people of Amaga wondered how he got money out of those enormous and dangerous pockets without being harmed. The trick was, whenever his hands went into his pockets, a special rod attached to his wrist also followed. This helped prevent whatever havoc awaited such action.
On this fateful day, Oleman had run short of cash and he was terribly hungry like a starved jackal. In his desperation to pacify his hunger, he ran into Ratazz who he put on his top target list.
Hunger had by now gotten hold of Oleman and made him forget the funny reputation of this weird fellow. Without a second thought, Oleman started his usual sugar-coated, exciting, and white-lie tale.
Ratazz was indeed enjoying the tale, that he hardly noticed when Oleman’s fingers meandered into those famous viperous pockets and snap! There was a metallic slam, both parties were surprised and taken aback by this load automatic action.
Ratazz was surprised because he had never seen his mischievous gadget catch a real thief before, so his shock was followed by a big smile of accomplishment and satisfaction.
On the other hand, Oleman was taken aback because of the deadly action of the rat trap which brought to memory the reputation of Ratazz, and this led him to let out a yell, gradually followed by the intense pain his brain had started to register.
Ratazz just simply went on his way, strolling the streets of Amaga. Onlookers were taken aback as they saw the pain-stricken Oleman being pulled from behind as Ratazz proudly matched along as though he had won a big trophy.
